SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY NEEDS YOUR HELP
The Woodford and Delaney’s Creek schools chaplaincy committee supports the important work of chaplains in both schools. We raise money for the chaplains’ wages and other expenses: We do this by running BBQs outside IGA several times during the year. We also help run the canteen at the local RL football club. We need volunteers to help us in these activities. If you can help with your time, please contact either Leo (0417 743 487) or Mike (0409 065 646) ASAP
will focus on inspiring, equipping and encouraging parishes and Catholic communities to engage in Evangelisation and Renewal. This is a wonderful opportunity for priests, deacons, chaplains, pastoral ministers, parish teams, parish pastoral councillors and all parishioners to explore new ways of contemplating the face of Christ in community and so empower them to set out on the new paths of mission which the Holy Spirit is tracing for us at this crucial time (Archbishop Mark Coleridge, Archbishop of Brisbane)
When and Where: 12-14 July, 2018,
at The Edmund Rice Performing Arts Centre (St Laurence’s College, South Brisbane).

PLENARY COUNCIL 2020 Listen to what the Spirit is saying...
The Catholic Church of Australia plans to host a Plenary Council in 2020. This was announced by the Archbishop of Brisbane, Mark Coleridge. Archbishop Coleridge - who participated at the Vatican in the Synod on the family - is the key spokesperson for the event, which is an initiative of the Bishops’ Conference. This would be the fifth major assembly for the Catholic Church of Australia and would take place more than eighty years since the last synod, which was celebrated in 1937.
Key Messages combining the celebration of Pentecost, the Year of Youth and the launch of the Listening and Dialogue Encounters as we prepare for the Plenary Council 2020 can be found in the current newsletter.
